Tempe Charter ABWA Chapter
Arizona's Top Chapter of the Year 2010
This small, but mighty chapter has exemplified the mission of ABWA by being a chapter promoting leadership, business excellence, community involvement and friendship.
They have been consistently involved in ARC, Arizona Regional Council, with members being officers through the years.
The chapter is giving back to the community through several outreaches--"Tearing Down the Walls of Hate," an organization bringing awareness regarding discrimination, Child Crisis Center in Mesa, and Sojourner Center, a shelter for women in domestic violence situations. Each member is an active part of these fundraising events.
In 2009, the Chapter applied to the IRS for a 501(c)6 designation following the guidelines from ABWA National Headquarters.
Membership has increased during the 2009-2010 year and it is expected to continue growing. Chapter members are dedicated and hard working and are proud to be members of the Tempe Charter Chapter.
