Lynda Tallant
Officer of the Year 2011
Turquoise Camel Chapter
Turquoise Camel Chapter is the epitome of teamwork and why is that? Because Lynda Tallant provides the vital leadership and enthusiasm that fosters attendance, participation and continued growth. This year alone the chapter has coordinated 2 large fund-raising events which have netted enough money to send 5 people to the ABWA Regional Conference in Santa Fe and to Leadership Retreat. With a president who leads with focus, decisiveness and positive attitude, the team rises to every challenge.
Lynda has been a loyal member of ABWA for many years. When she moved to Flagstaff many years ago, she started a chapter there. Although fairly new to Turquoise Camel Chapter, she jumped right in - and brought her family with her, each one making a significant contribution to the team.
With vision and direction, Lynda performs as a "catalyst for positive change," overcoming the challenges that chapters typically face to keep everyone excited and energized. She conducts meetings with precision and keeps tabs on all the committees without micro-managing. Overall, she is the best candidate for the Arizona Officer of the Year.
